2015 Rotax Winter Cup
Málaga, Spain
February 9 - 15, 2015
My first big race was the Winter Cup in Spain. Although that the final result was not the best, the whole event gave us a great opportunity to learn and we developed our performance through the practice sessions and the races. Our team was by far the smallest but nevertheless we were very optimistic that we can further develop our performance together with Dennis of Woik Motorsport.

Wohlen, Switzerland

In good weather, the first round of the Rotax Max Switzerland could be started. Unfortunately, I was involved in a racing accident after good first runs in the final and retired. Otherwise the race went well and the material was ready for the upcoming events.

Wackersdorf, Germany
April 12, 2015
The well-staffed Junior field indicated that there will be exciting races at the Rotax Open in Wackersdorf. About 30 Junior drivers were registered and some of them were drivers with Euro Challenge experience. In the pre-final, I entered the race as eleventh from the sixth row of the grid. Unfortunately, I was involved in a racing accident and my starting position deteriorated to position 17 in the final race. In the meantime I worked my way forward but was finally swayed to position 16. The material was reliable and I kept up with my lap times in the first third of the field.
2015 Rotax Max Italia
Pavia, Italy
April 26, 2015
This weekend I raced in Pavia at the third round of Rotax Italy Championship. The qualifying was a disaster and I had to enter the pre-final session from the back row. A good pre-final race brought me to the eleventh position and I could start the final from the fifth row. A tough race, with some good fighting, resulted in the sixth position. An exciting and challenging weekend.

The arrival on Thursday evening was rainy. The whole Friday training was in the pouring rain. My mechanic could not find a proper set-up. Luckily, the weather was better on Saturday and it could also be driven in dry conditions and good lap times were done. Unfortunately, the race Sunday was completely rainy again. Accordingly, I could not achieve a good result in the qualifying practice. In the two heats, I was able to drive to positions nine and ten. A good start in the final race and a clever manoeuvre in the event of a collision of the front drivers gave me a good fifth place!

I improved my performance from Friday to Sunday. The top-field with 30 drivers, also with many non-German drivers and teams, was ideal to see how I would perform in a big field. In the warmup, I crossed the finish line with the third fastest time and I was swayed in tenth place in the qualifying practice. I finished seventh in the next two heats and proved that my lap times belonged to the top. In the pre-final I finished fifth, this allowed me to enter the final race from the third row. In the final race I immediately could take the fourth position which I had to give up at the end of the race. I finished a good seventh in the end. A very good performance.
2015 Rotax Euro Challenge
Pavia, Italy
May 31, 2015
The final ranking was not top and I could not reach our target to enter the final. Although our track time improved a lot over the training sessions, the qualifying and the heats, I was fighting against very strong competitors from all over the world.
2015 Rotax Max Deutschland
Ampfing, Deutschland
June 7, 2015
After a short break of only four days, after Pavia, Ampfing was on the program. Full of confidence, we travelled to Ampfing to implement what we had learned from the Rotax Euro Challenge. In almost tropical conditions we were able to train from Friday and it turned out that I was very fast on the road. Different chassis and engine set-ups were tried out and the increasing grip was a very big challenge. I finished third in the qualifying practice on Sunday, a very good starting position on the inner track. I finished third and second in the next two heats. I finished third again in the pre-final. Unfortunately, I lost a place in the finals and finished fourth. The chassis lost more and more grip and eventually I had to give up a position. The competition was very fierce.

My mechanic worked out an optimal chassis set-up in the very high temperatures. I secured pole position in the qualifying practice and managed to defend my leading position both times in the heats. In the final race, I had to give up the lead once for a short time but won the final run with a one-second lead over the runner-up.
2015 Rotax Max Deutschland
Oppenrod, Germany
July 5, 2015
Another hot weekend. This time with over 40 degrees in Oppenrod. In the pre-final I was able to make a clear statement and came second! This meant that I would start from the front row in the final race. However, I lost valuable places at the start due to the unfavorable starting position on the outside line. Nevertheless, I was able to finish the race in fifth place.
2015 Rotax Euro Challenge
Wackersdorf, Germany
July 26, 2015
A perfect and exciting weekend in Wackersdorf!
My aim was to reach the final race on Sunday through direct qualification. Due to strong heats, 15th, 11th and 9th positions, I qualified with the 22nd position for the final race. 34 Junior drivers shared the starting grid at the final showdown. During a spectacular race I could push myself well through and crossed the finish line in the very good 17th position.

Vesoul, one of my favorite tracks, presented us with a podium finish. I had already set the second-best time in the qualifying practice and also finished second in the heats and the final.
2015 Rotax Max Schweiz
Wohlen, Switzerland
October 10, 2015
In Wohlen, I wanted to defend my chances of second place in the Swiss Rotax Championship. I succeeded and was not only rewarded with second place in the extremely exciting final race, I also became runner-up in the Swiss Rotax championship. This, in my first year in the Junior category!
2015 Rotax International Open
Adria, Italy
October, 2015
A race to learn a lot from! We met a challenging circuit in Adria. I ended on the 28th position in the qualifying session. The chassis set-up was good but it did not help me when I was pushed out twice in the following heats. Although I was in the first starting row in the second chance heat, and which starting position I was able to defend during the first laps, I lost some positions and was not able to enter the final race. Anyway, it was the last race of this year and we are very happy with our overall performance during this race season and my first year in the Junior class. I was crowned with the Vice Champion Rotax Junior title in Switzerland.
